Lucy Liu is an American actress voice actress director producer, and singer. As an intelligent and attractive actress, she serves as a role model to many Asian actors in Hollywood who want to succeed. After several appearances on popular television series and movies, she gained fame after being cast as a character in Ally McBeal legal comedy where she portrayed Ling Woo. After a sudden surge in her popularity, she landed roles on big screens like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. After that, she delivered an excellent performance in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime-lord O Ren Ishii. In the same time frame she was the main character in several flops on the box-office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then started voicing prominent characters in animated films, such as Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's tiny screen role as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. Southland's highly praised police show, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish herself her status as a well-known actress. Liu carefully selects roles to avoid being a stereotype within an industry that is highly competitive. While she's been embracing her roots she has not let it limit her as an artist.
